CASA volunteers assist local shelters by pulling adoptable cats and dogs, providing full veterinary care and placing the animals into foster homes while awaiting adoption. CASA’s mission is to increase the animals chances of adoption with behavior assessments for dogs and cats. They look to connect “best matches” and hold weekly pet adoptions. Volunteers provide training to pet owners to address common behavior problems, limiting the chance of the animal being surrendered. CASA provides public education through lectures and demonstrations to educate about animal behavior and the benefits of spaying and neutering pets.
